Katy came to us at the start of year 10. She was a low level 3, with learning difficulties. Mum knew it was going to be a slow and steady journey for Katy. What was crucial for Katy was tutor rapport. She wanted someone to build a relationship with Katy. Being a student with Let's Pass, Katy could message with questions and receive feedback and use this to keep her going.

Katy has achieved a grade 5 in Maths and is going to study Sports Science BTEC at college! She cried, mum cried, I cried ...we did it!

Charlie (like so many of my boys!) was underachieving because he was more concerned with football than Maths ...until the end of year 10 when he did his mocks and got a grade 3. The penny finally dropped and mum reached out to me. Charlie was very behind where he should have been at that point but he was so busy with clubs in the evenings that we just couldn't match our diaries to get him in for a one-to-one slot. The flexibility of working around this schedule was perfect for Charlie, by not starting too early he was able to stay focused on his goals and disciplined for the final year. He got his level 5 - he could have done better BUT he was still able to stay committed to his sports. He is now studying Business at 6th Form ...and still playing football!

Bella's mum contacted me to try to help her anxiety. She was a high achieving girl but struggled to speak up in Maths. She didn't like to draw attention to herself and as a result of this her grades were dropping. Mum felt that the one-to-one option would be too intense for Bella, and as a capable student she knew she could work independently. Let's Pass provided lots of exam practice questions with explained answers that took a line by line approach.

Bella was able to message me with questions and did not experience any unnecessary overwhelm she may have felt in a face-to-face setting. Bella achieved a grade 6 and is now studying for her A Levels.
