The One Thing Group Tuition Couldn’t Do, Until Now

If you’ve ever hesitated over small-group tuition because you assumed your child would end up with the same worksheet as everyone else in the class, you were right to hesitate. That has always been the honest trade-off with group tuition. You get a teacher, a curriculum, and a lower price than 1-1, but the homework and follow-up work has generally been one-size-fits-all.

From 1 August 2026, that’s no longer true for Let’s Pass students in Upminster, Havering and across Essex.

What’s Changing

We’re introducing CENTURY, an AI-powered learning platform, into every subject we teach. In practice, this means each child completes a short diagnostic assessment at home, on their own computer, which identifies exactly where their gaps are, not the group’s gaps, theirs specifically. From there, CENTURY sets homework and practice targeted at those precise gaps, so the follow-up work between lessons is genuinely personal, even though the live lesson itself is still taught to a small group.

Your child’s teacher can see all of the results and use that to plan the next lesson. No time lag, responsive and personalised learning at its core. Your child still joins a live Zoom session with a qualified teacher and a small group of similar-ability students. What changes is everything that happens around that lesson, the diagnostic testing and the homework, which now adapts to your child specifically rather than the class as a whole.

Why this matters

This has always been the real argument for 1-1 tuition over group tuition, that a private tutor can tailor everything to one child. It’s a fair point, and it’s the one thing we couldn’t compete with directly. CENTURY closes that gap. Your child gets teacher-led small-group learning for the live sessions, where they benefit from working alongside similar-ability peers, and genuinely individual diagnostic testing and homework in between.

What it costs

CENTURY is a paid addition to your subscription, at £30 for the full year. If you subscribed to CENTURY directly, it would cost roughly three times that. We’re able to offer it at this price because we buy it in bulk for all our students. It’s also worth knowing that the subscription belongs to your child, not to us, so if you ever left Let’s Pass, it would go with them.

What this means for September

Combined with our small-group model, this is the strongest version of what we offer to families in Upminster and Havering, live teaching from qualified teachers, a small group of similar-ability peers, and now, personalised diagnostic testing and homework that used to only be available with 1-1 tuition, at a fraction of the price.

If you’d like to know more or want to get your child set up with CENTURY ahead of September, message us on WhatsApp and we’ll talk you through it.
